Power Generation

Condensate Polishing Septa & Specialty

Electric generating station condensate must be maintained at a very high purity level to protect boilers, steam generators, reactors, and turbines from corrosion. To remove contaminants from the condensate, deep bed ion exchange condensate polishers are used and sometimes preceded by a Powdex® filter demineralizer or a fine particulate filtration system. A Powdex system can also stand alone as the primary polisher.

Graver Technologies is the most experienced and knowledgeable Ion Exchange product and Filter Septum manufacturer and offers the most complete range of products to meet today’s challenges. Whether the need is for high purity Gravex® condensate polishing ion exchange resins; the original Aegis® wound, DualGuard® or AFA® pleated filter septa; or the Powdex & Ecodex® families of premium resins, the original and most widely used powdered ion exchange resins, Graver Technologies has the answer for your application.

  • Aegis precoatable filter septa for Powdex filter demineralizers
  • AFA, the first backwashable pleated filters installed in a condensate pre-filter system
  • DualGuard, combination pleated filter with a precoatable and easily backwashable surface

TurboGuard® Pre-Filters

TurboGuard® Pre-Filters

TurboGuard® High Flow Filters will provide superior CRUD removal upstream of deep bed demineralizers.

Key features:
  • Flow is from the inside core to the outer pleats
  • TurboGuard Filters are wrapped in a onepiece extruded outer cage preventing both media migration during inside out flow, and tearing during removal
  • Onepiece molded end caps, including moldedin bail for secure handling during installation and removal
  • Thermally bonded construction and low pressure drop at specified flow rates
  • Maximum Flow Rates (lower flow rates will affect performance)
  • 20” Element up to 175 gpm (663 lpm)
  • 40” Element up to 350 gpm (1,325 lpm)
  • 60” Element up to 500 gpm (1,893 lpm)
  • A complete line of ASME Code Section VIII Division 1 Housings are available
  • Optimized media surface area allows the full use of installed media area — not blocked off by media “squeezing”
