Radex® is a titanite-based specialty adsorbent granular media that uses patented material technology for the treatment of nuclear liquid radwaste. This unique adsorbent is engineered to reduce the activity levels of radioactive species, including Antimony-125, cobalt, and other radionuclides, which makes it an indispensable component in nuclear waste management.

Designed for versatile application, Radex® is intended to be loaded as a layer on top of a radwaste treatment system mixed bed. This typical mixed bed comprises a gel-type strong acid cation resin and a high-capacity gel-type anion resin in a chemically equivalent blend, for a comprehensive treatment of radioactive contaminants. Radex® enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of these systems by targeting and adsorbing specific radioactive species, reducing their activity levels.

Radex® is particularly beneficial for equipment and floor drains, other radwaste processing applications, and the cleanup of contaminated ponds or pools. Its integration into precoat BWR (Boiling Water Reactor) Reactor Water Clean vessels further highlights its versatility in maintaining safe and compliant operations in nuclear facilities.

Radex® offers reliable and efficient management for nuclear liquid radwaste, ensuring the reduction of harmful radioactive species and contributing to safer and more effective waste treatment processes.
