Forever chemicals (Perfluoroalkyl substances, PFAS) are pervasive in our environment. PFAS are a group of 4,000 chemicals that have been used in chemical and manufacturing processes for decades. While use of many of these chemicals has been banned, others are still in use and a large number of them have shown up in drinking water sources.
